Full information on the day to day running of the houses are kept in the housebook which is kept at the house.

This will contain instruction manuals for all the appliances in the house and 24hr contact numbers for other emergencies including plumbing / heating and an NICEC electrician we keep on standby.

All our properties enjoy full gas central heating and a British Gas maintenance contract which covers all the central heating, plumbing and drains, so any problems can be dealt with promptly and professionally by the experts.

This service is paid for by the Landlords but may be accessed directly by tenants, as and when required, and covers unlimited call outs, parts and labour costs so there's no need to worry.

The houses are insured for all third party risks and the landlords fixtures and fittings. The insurance does not cover students belongings. This would be impossible for us to specify to our insurance company. Students personal belongings should be covered by the contents section of their home / main residence policy, but it is worth checking the precise wording. Otherwise there are numerous insurance schemes offering simple inexpensive cover for students' belongings whilst in accommodation. The Students Union building will be littered with literature from such organisations, or you may find some of our links useful.
