All potential tenants thinking of renting accommodation are recommended to read the Government handbook "How To Rent" which contains useful information and guidance on renting property. Please click here to view this document.

Full information on the day to day running of our houses are kept in a "housebook" which is kept at the house.

This will contain instruction manuals for all the appliances in the house and 24hr contact numbers for other emergencies including plumbing / heating and electrical issues.

All our properties enjoy full gas central heating and a British Gas Homecare Agreement which covers the servicing and safety inspection of the gas installations.

The houses are insured for public liability and the landlords fixtures and fittings. The insurance does not cover tenants' belongings. Tenants personal belongings may be covered by the contents section of their home / main residence policy, but it is worth checking the precise wording. Otherwise there are numerous insurance schemes offering simple inexpensive cover for tenants' belongings whilst in accommodation. The Students Union building will be littered with literature from such organisations, or you may find some of our links useful.

Details of our property insurance may be found by clicking here.

All our properties have Energy Performance Certificates, although you'll notice our  rents are all inclusive of energy bills anyway. Online copies of the EPCs can be viewed following the links in the individual property pages under the "View Properties" tab.

All properties have been upgraded to receive Digital TV, giving access to the numerous Freeview channels via the usual TV sockets.
