Tenancy Agreement Covering Letter

Please find enclosed the Tenancy Agreement for ----------- for the academic year 2010-2011.

Please read through the documents carefully and, if satisfied

1. Fill in your personal details and home address (not term address) on pages 3 and 4.

2. Sign your name at the end of the document on page 10, adding the date.

3. Fill in the top part of the Guarantor agreement with the details of your guarantor

4. Return the completed documents with deposit to the above address within 10 days.

(It is prudent to add a signature, initials or photocopy each page to ensure nothing is added after your signature before returning it !)

I will send a copy of the signed tenancy agreement and guarantor form to your nominated guarantor for completion.

I will notify you when all the guarantor forms are returned satisfactorily completed.

Please note the offer of accommodation may be withdrawn without a satisfactory guarantor or payment of the required deposit.

Please note this individual tenancy is offered on the assumption it forms part of a full 9 way group let. If there are insufficient numbers to fill all the vacancies at this house, the offer of accommodation may be withdrawn.

Please be reminded when you sign the Agreement that you are committing to pay the rent on that room for the period stated. If you wish to cancel later you could still be held liable for the rents on that room unless a replacement tenant is found.

As you know from the viewings, I will have been turning away other prospective tenants in good faith in favour of you on the basis of your signature.

If you leave a holding deposit and do not continue with the tenancy application, you may lose some or all of your holding deposit.

If you leave a holding deposit and complete the tenancy application process, this deposit will form part of the tenancy deposit.

Please note, apart from copies sent to your guarantor, specimen blank copies of the Tenancy Agreement are on the website and also kept at the house during your tenancy. If you still wish us to provide further copies of your agreement we would charge £10 to include admin and postage.
